The Vision Behind MYDealTeams
The idea for MYDealTeams began inside the real estate group of a major specialty retailer. Running retail real estate there meant a junk drawer of tools: Excel files, Access apps, Lotus Notes databases, PDFs, PowerPoints, and email threads, held together for roughly 60 business partners. So we built tools. Data-driven apps for location performance, notes, and activities. A map app that showed location summaries geographically. They worked.
They had one fatal limit: they could only ever see one side of the deal. Brokers, landlords, and other external partners, the rest of people who help make a deal happen lived outside the system. The tools ended at the company wall. Deal teams don't.
This gap is exactly why MYDealTeams exists. After spending nearly two decades in retail real estate, watching deals progress in endless email threads, disconnected systems, and fragmented communication, we built the platform we wished we'd had all along.
What makes MYDealTeams different:
- Purpose-Built for Retail Real Estate: Not a generic project management tool. Every feature is designed around retail real estate deal workflows.
- Site Selection You Can Defend: Evaluations bring weighted scoring, side-by-side comparison, financial modeling, risks, pros & cons, and sequential approvals into one structured workbench with a full audit trail.
- Location-Centric Design: Everything revolves around physical properties. Locations, portfolios, projects, and financials all connected.
- Partner Collaboration: An invite-based professional network with trust levels and access control, replacing email chains with structured collaboration.
- Template-Driven Workflows: Standardize how your team runs deals with reusable task and site detail templates.
- Real-Time Communication: Contextual chat tied directly to deals and properties. No more searching email threads for context.
- Financial Tracking: Income statements with cell-level editing, formulas, quarterly breakdowns, and full history tracking.
